I need advice from all you lawyers.?

I am currently attending a four year university working towards my Associates Degree in Social Work. I will be graduating soon and I am not sure what to study for my four year? I eventually would like to hold my Graduates degree in law. I am shooting for a career that specializes in Social Welfare and the laws that govern this particular branch of government. Are there certain Bachelors Degrees recommended to major in that will prep and benefit me in the long run? If so, what are your suggestions? Remember I am looking for a career in Social Welfare/Law.
