Did you know only 2% of High School Seniors know what Brown v. Board of Education was about?

Even if 2% WAS an accurate assessment of the knowledge of Brown v. Board (which I don't believe it is), the U.S. as a nation has only themselves to blame. I was lucky enough to have an exceptional history teacher, and I can honestly say that my AP U.S. History course was one of the best I've ever taken. But our country doesn't emphasize history. If we want our kids to be more intelligent in the area of history, then we need to start emphasizing its importance more. This should surprise no one.
